Episode 77: Evaluating American Education

(3:01) We start by discussing the current state of the American educational system. We discuss how the system has been effected by Covid-19 and how an entire generation of students has been left to suffer. (13:39) We also have a conversation about whether the American educational system was designed to fail or not. We discuss how schools are underfunded, wealth disparities and the aftermath of Brown v.s. the Board of Education.

 

(23:53) During the interview with Paul, he tells us his concerns about the educational system. Paul also tells us what he believes should be the starting point when addressing certain issues, and if we should be worried about comparing ourselves to other countries. Lastly, Paul shares his feelings about being an educator from when he began up until his exit.
